By Sam Bushman
My fellow Americans, happy to have you along. I'm Sam Bushman, and with me today was Curt Crosby, affectionately known as the Honeyman, a well-known, long-time, liberty-minded personality at localhoneyman.com. Heath Perkins joined us for the Honest Money Report from FreeWaterCoinCo.com. We had a barn burner, that's for sure.
Election Night Operation Slaughter
I called it an incredible shocker. Strange bedfellows, if you will. Romney, former Senator Mitt Romney, Thomas Massie, J.D. Vance, current Vice President, Sam Bushman, all on the same page. What the heck?
A lot of people think the elections are over. Yes indeed, election night, Operation Slaughter, as I'm calling it, did happen last Tuesday night. But there are still some things up in the air. Republicans absolutely picked up at least 24 seats in the House, seven seats in the Senate. The Democrats are on a roll. The Republicans are on the ropes. Honesty is starting to come out of the Republican camp, which I applaud. Reality is starting to set in. Donald, in my humble opinion, is still delusional. And that's the state of affairs.
It's a tragic reality check, folks. Alaska has kind of become the new Florida hanging-chad scenario. You don't know who the governor is. You don't know who the senators are. You've got this Dan Sullivan scandal happening. I mean, it's just a disaster in Alaska. Of all places, why Alaska? Curt made the point that it's smaller, people-wise, so a few people can upset the apple cart. If you can manipulate the thing and get another senator or two, why not? And as I said, they think some cheating is bad, but other cheating is fine. It all depends on how you cheat and who defines cheating. Curt nailed it: if you make cheating legal, once it's legal, it's not cheating.
Failed Policy, Broken Promises and Party Privilege
Former Senator Mitt Romney and Thomas Massie both blamed Republican losses on "failed policy and broken promises." I couldn't agree more with that. Romney pointed at tariffs, the Iran war, deficits, corruption, and immigration enforcement and failures of accountability. Massie said voters were holding Republicans accountable for abandoning campaign promises. He said we should have put Americans first, we should have avoided another war, and we should have prosecuted sex traffickers. Again, I couldn't agree more.
Curt made a fair point about Romney. It's pretty hard for that guy to lecture us. The only time the standard media wants to bring him up is when he comes out against President Trump. Curt also reminded us about George Washington's Farewell Address in 1796 and his warnings against political parties and foreign entanglements. Wouldn't it be grand to hear them say, "Let's just eliminate the whole party system"?
That's where they won't go far enough. I really do believe parties are criminal enterprises because they have a special privilege at government, more than you, more than me. We the people delegated authority to government in the first place. If you want a private party where you hurrah, wave the flag, wave your pom-poms, and say you believe in this cause, that's fine. I believe in free association. But when these parties get rules and laws and funding, and become insiders with more power than anybody else, that's where I have the problem.
The Iran War and the Constitution
Vance blames the Iran war for Republican losses as well. Trump defended his position and said if he had to do it again, he'd do it. I have concern with this too. I do believe the reason for the loss was the war. First off, we didn't follow the Constitution in going to that war, and that's a big problem in my mind.
Curt asked me straight: if I knew some guys were going to get a nuclear bomb and kill millions of people with it, would I try to stop it? The answer is of course. The problem is I can't do preemptive crime. I can't become the thought police and say that I know. If it's really true there was a bomb, and they were really going to get one, and it was really a threat to the world, then go to Congress, make your case, get Congress aboard, and follow the law.
Gerrymandering, Precincts and the Party Game
Democrats won or led in most of the Republican redistricting. I call this gerrymandering. They call it redistricting, but I don't agree. When special privilege groups sit at the trough and divide up the spoils, and guys like me or you, don't have a say because we're not Republicans or Democrats, that is criminal in my mind. That's voter fraud, election fraud.
The problem is we have party delegates instead of precinct delegates. I propose using very small precincts, around 1,000 or 1,200 people. Everybody goes there. You know your neighbors. You can agree or disagree. You vote for candidates. You vet candidates. You caucus and meet candidates. You can have delegates. But the delegates are precinct delegates, not party delegates.
Honest Money, Paper Play and American Production
Curt brought up Oracle filing to sell $20 billion in new stock and bonds to finance AI build-out, and asked if that is basically like printing money for a corporation. Heath said in a sense, yes, though very few corporations can do it without damaging their stock. I said Curt's right because this is paper play. You can split shares, combine shares, go private, go public, and do all these weird shenanigans, but until you buy or sell, you don't really know the value. It's all paper play until real money changes accounts based on real proven value.
Heath reminded us Detroit was once 25% of the world's GDP because its production was so immense. Now Detroit is a slum, and they're selling houses for a buck just to get people to renovate. Curt said that with Trump's economic policies, he believes we'll see the golden age of America, with factories coming back and $21 trillion or $22 trillion worth of investment. Pray for America.
