My fellow Americans, happy to have you along. I sat down today with Curt Crosby, the Honey Man from LocalHoneyman.com, a man who stands for the sacred cause of liberty, promoting God, family, and country. In the first half hour, Shu Yong joined us, the creator of ElectionsSimplified.com. In the second half hour, Heath Perkins from FreeWaterCoinCo.com joined Curt and me for the Honest Money Report.
ElectionsSimplified.com and judging candidates by actions
Shu Yong is an IT professional, born in China, who came to the United States when he was 15. He told us voting in America looked precious to him because here people have control over their lives because they have control over their government. But when he became a citizen and started voting, he said, " Wait, this is not as advertised. It is not as transparent as he thought, and there is a lot of misinformation.
That is why he created ElectionsSimplified.com. You put in your zip code or address, and it shows you local races, candidates, ballot measures, voting records, donors, official sites, and what the offices actually do. It uses AI, folks, and so you cannot rely on it perfectly, but it can give you a starting point and lay out a bunch of things, and then you can do secondary research to verify.
Shu explained that AI does two main things. First, it gets the source from official government websites, like voting records for senators and representatives. Second, it translates dense legal language into plain language that you and I can understand. Ballot measures are often written so confusingly that sometimes it sounds like you want to vote yes, but you really mean to vote no. This breaks it down.
The site does not endorse candidates. Shu and his friends have different political views, but as he said, it does not matter what people believe; we all want clarity. I agree with that. The question is: how do voters judge candidates by the facts, not just what they say? Look at the person's actions, not what that person says, especially when the words are designed.
Curt asked Shu straight up about coming from communist China and the claims that everybody from China is part of some spy network. Shu answered that yes, corporate spying happens, but his own mom came here as a Christian refugee because Christianity was not allowed. She had to escape the political system. That is a very different system over there. Shu said if you tried to build a website like this in China, you cannot. The voting process just does not exist the same way.
Transparency on a thin dime
I asked Shu how we know the thing stays independent. He said so far the funding is just from him. He joked it was the Visa round first, then the MasterCard round. The good thing is, with AI, they do not need hundreds of millions of dollars to hire a research team for years. They can do it on a thin dime.
We looked at Curt's zip code, 84059, and the site showed races, offices, and "vote power," meaning how much influence your vote has in a race. In a presidential race, unless you live in a key precinct in a swing state, your vote is one in 150 million. But in a city council race, sometimes your vote can literally be the deciding vote because only a few hundred people show up.
Gold, silver, interest rates, and manipulated markets
My issue is this. Whether they raise rates, lower them, or maintain them, every action, or in this case even a non-action, literally manipulates the supply and demand free market. That is my issue. Heath agreed and said we do not have a free market offering loans. We have a number set by the Federal Reserve, and the rest of the world watches it too. Central banks step in and kind of hijack a financial system from a nation.
I gave the numbers: annual consumer inflation at 3.7%, wholesale prices up 6.3%, employers adding only 29,000 jobs in September, and the economy supposedly growing at a 3.4% annual rate in the third quarter, up from 2.2% in the second quarter. But I ask honest questions. If everybody spends more money and gets into credit card debt, is the economy growing? To me, real economic prosperity is when people are getting out of debt but still prospering.
Fuel, inflation, and the cost of everything
Heath said diesel was still over $6.70 when he was driving home, and at truck stops in Utah it is closer to $7 because of the rapid fueling systems. That cost transfers into every single thing shipped in this society. You cannot stop the cost of everything going up unless you decrease the cost of the energy used to move everything around the nation.
I agree those things should be highlighted. But I also said we need perspective. Gas sounds really high, but compare it to coffee or juice by the gallon. A Starbucks cup can be $7. Juice can be $20 a gallon. I am not downing juice or coffee as much as trying to get perspective. Have gas prices been artificially low? Have interest rates been artificially low? Maybe they are coming back to the reality of supply and demand.
And I do not think we need interest rates to drop as much as we need home prices to come down. Low interest helped home prices skyrocket. Since 2020, houses have doubled in many places, and regulations make it hard and expensive to build.
Judicial Watch, parties, and constitutional silver
Heath said with prices down, everything is pretty much on sale, but 90% silver is probably the best buy right now. They used to call it junk silver because you found it in your junk drawer, but it is really constitutional silver.
Thank you to Shu Yong at ElectionsSimplified.com, Heath Perkins at FreeWaterCoinCo.com, and Curt Crosby at LocalHoneyman.com. Spread the word, share the love.
