JFK Assassination Documents Release Coming With Few Redactions

Oct 28, 2017

After withholding documents relating to the assassination of President Kennedy, President Trump indicated that he will push for the release of the remaining documents so as “to put any and all conspiracy theories to rest.” "I will be releasing ALL JFK files other than the names and addresses of any mentioned person who is still living," the president tweeted. "I am doing this for reasons of full disclosure, transparency and in order to put any and all conspiracy theories to rest," he continued. The White House plans to release more documents on a “rolling basis over the next six months.” Prior to the release, the president indicated that he planned to release all the documents unless any agencies raised objections. The CIA and FBI issued “national security concerns” which effectively blocked the release in its entirety. Attorney General Jeff Sessions said, “We are working this weekend. We are going to be working every way possible to expedite the production of these documents as completely as possible and they will be virtually, completely revealed from the FBI files.”
