President Trump Claims Credit For Discrediting Media

President Trump tweaked the media by boasting how he’d reduced “public trust in the mainstream media” since his campaign began. He said that he’s “proud” of having convinced “people how fake it is.” “I've really started this whole fake news thing,” said Trump. The president told Lou Dobbs that the media “is so dishonest.” “What could be more fake than CBS and NBC and ABC and CSS what you look at some of these stories?” He said that during the campaign he was treated “very unfairly” by the press and that it did not get any better after the election. In fact, “they got much worse.” "If you look at the level of approval of … general media, if you look at it from the day I started running to now, I'm so proud that I've been able to convince people how fake it is, because it has taken a nosedive." He went on to thank Fox news saying, “Fox has treated me fairly. And I don’t mean good, but they’ve treated me fairly. I don’t want to be treated good. I just want to be treated fairly.”
