Clinton Campaign Funded Russia Dossier

Oct 25, 2017

The entire Russia collusion story is collapsing. The so called “intelligence dossier” portraying Donald Trump in the most lurid, wild, despicable way, was funded by “the Hillary Clinton campaign and Democratic National Committee.” The Washington Post is reporting that “Marc E. Elias, a lawyer representing the Clinton campaign and the DNC, retained Fusion GPS . . . to conduct the research.” Fusion GPS in turn hired a former British intelligence officer “with ties to the FBI and the U.S. intelligence community” to write the document. Elias has “denied for a year that he had anything to do with the dossier.” Now his story has been exposed as a lie. Officials with Fusion GPS have refused to testify as to who paid for the document. The company filed motions in court asking that investigators in the Senate not get access to the company’s bank records for the last two years. Now that the people behind the funding have been exposed, the collapse of the story should discredit the Democratic Party for years to come.
