Hillary Clinton is dismissing stories that she and her husband benefited from the Uranium One deal. She dismissed it as “bologna.” In an interview with C-SPAN the former Secretary of State said, “I would say it’s the same bologna they’ve been peddling for years, and there’s been no credible evidence by anyone. In fact, it’s been debunked repeatedly and will continue to be debunked.” She accused the president “and his allies” as “experts at distraction and diversion.” She added that “the closer the investigation about real Russian ties between Trump associates and real Russians . . . the more they want to just throw mud on the wall. I’m their favorite target.” While Secretary of State, the Russian company Rosatom purchased the Canadian company Uranium One which owned “uranium stakes stretching from Central Asia to Western America.” The State Department had to sign off on the deal. Executives with the Canadian mining company have donated in excess of $25 million to the Clinton Foundation.
