Kamala Harris Buying More Exposure On Social Media

Oct 23, 2017

California Senator Kamala Harris is working with a media firm that helped boost “the national profile of Senator Bernie Sanders.” Harris paid Revolution Messaging LLC, $255,000 in the third quarter of 2017 from her campaign committee. Harris is considered a possible Democratic presidential hopeful for the 2020 race. The quarter million dollar expenditure for increasing her profile was more than double what she spent in the second quarter of this year. So far this year, her campaign has purchased $650,000 worth of services from Revolution Messaging. The company helped Bernie Sanders raise $218 million in online donations. When the company took on the Sanders’ account, “Bernie was polling around 3 percent, had no establishment support, little name recognition, and was running against a popular and ‘inevitable’ Democratic primary opponent.” Senator Harris’ campaign is renting office space in Washington DC and has hired “a number of former Clinton campaign veterans in her . . . office.” One donor and supporter said, “She’s running for president, take it to the bank. She’s absolutely going to run.”
