Klaus Eberwein, a former official of the government of Haiti was due to testify this Tuesday before the Haitian Senates Ethics and anti-corruption commission about the Clinton Foundation’s alleged misuse of funds donated to help the people of Haiti recover from the devastating earthquake.
Eberwein had served for three years as director of the government’s economic development agency and claimed that only 0.6 percent of the money collected by the foundation actually went to help the people of Haiti. The rest was used for other purpose. However, Eberwein is no longer available to testify because he was found dead in a Miami hotel room from a gunshot wound to the head. It has been ruled a suicide despite the fact that had Eberwein had told friends that the feared for his life because of his upcoming testimony.
