Senator Grassley has Questions about VISA for Russian Lawyer

Jul 14, 2017

Iowa Republican Senator Charles Grassley, the Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, has asked Secretary of State Rex Tillerson and Secretary of DHS Secretary John Kelly to investigate the circumstances of the Russian attorney involved in the meeting with Donald Trump Jr. Natalia Veselnitskaya had previously been denied a VISA to enter the United States and then suddenly the then Secretary of State, John Kerry, and Attorney General Loretta Lynch apparently intervened and decided that there were extraordinary circumstances.

She was allowed to enter the country for an indefinite stay without a VISA. This rarely happens and Grassley wants to know why it did in this case.
