Arizona Has No Plans to Cooperate With Voter Commission

Jul 11, 2017

The Republican controlled state of Arizona is one of 14 states refusing to provide President Trump’s commission on voter fraud with voter data. Secretary of State Michele Reagan said, “Arizona diligently follows the voter registration list maintenance requirements under the National Voter Registration Act … and thoroughly investigates instances of double registrations or double voting across state lines.’ Yet, Apache County, AZ has more registered voters than there are people living in the county. A spokesman for the Secretary of State’s office did not have an explanation. According to the Public Interest Legal Foundation, it’s more likely that between 70 and 90 percent of eligible people would be registered to vote. Unexplained discrepancies in voter registration raise questions in the minds of watchdogs.
