Comey Memos

Jul 10, 2017

During his testimony former FBI Director, James Comey, said that he considered the memos that he’d written his own personal documents which is why he felt he could share them with a lawyer friend at Columbia University. Yet the FBI is claiming that the memos are government documents. Four of the seven memos contain information considered “secret” or “confidential”. What is not clear is whether the classified information was considered classified at the time they were written. Comey turned the memos over to Special Counsel Robert Mueller. James Comey may end up being investigated whether or not he mishandled classified information in his personal memos.
