Recent satellite surveillance photos of North Korean missile test sites have American military leaders concerned that Kim Jong Un has missiles that are capable of reaching Guam, Alaska, and Hawaii. These missiles can do severe damage to U.S. military bases and to civilian areas even if they are only armed with conventional warheads. However, military leaders are also concerned that North Korea is farther along with its program to develop nuclear warheads for these missiles than was expected. All of this puts Americans at greater risk from an unstable communist dictator who appears to be undeterred by economic sanctions.
