In a move that is receiving praise from many second amendment supporters more states are easing the requirements for carrying concealed weapons. Twelve states including New Hampshire have now given their citizens the right to carry concealed weapons without permission of authorities. At the same time legislation has been introduced in the Congress by Senator John Cornyn of Texas and Representative Richard Hudson of North Carolina to allow people from states like New Hampshire to carry a concealed in other states where such a right is not recognized. Gun control advocates are vehemently opposed to such legislation claiming it would increase hand gun violence, although no proof has been offered to support these claims.
