May 17, 2017

Cyber security experts are uncovering evidence that may link North Korea to the recent worldwide cyberattacks that affected businesses and government entities in 150 countries. South Korean researchers are saying that the attacks are very similar to the backdoor malicious codes often used by North Korea. While no one has categorically stated that North Korea is responsible but it is certainly not being ruled out by anyone. One thing that everyone seems to agree on is that the ransomware attacks did not result in a great deal of money for the attackers so the attacks may have been just malicious and possibly a preparation for more to come.
