The Washington Post reported that sensitive information was shared with Russia’s Foreign Minister and the Russian Ambassador to the US during a Oval Office meeting last week. The information supposedly had to do with an Islamic terror threat using laptop computers on airplanes. The Washington Post quotes unnamed senior officials and former senior officials. The National Security Advisor H.R. McMaster denied that President Trump revealed any classified information. "At no time were any intelligence sources or methods discussed and no military operations were disclosed that were not already known publicly."
Democrats in Congress are elated that their Russia investigation has new legs and have promised to run with this as long as they can. “Republicans and Democrats in the House of Representatives need a briefing from the National Security Adviser and the directors of our nation’s intelligence agencies to get to the bottom of these allegations, and if there are audio recordings of this meeting, Congress needs to obtain them immediately.” The intelligence community is out to get Trump. They are putting in the overtime to make it happen.
