Corrine Brown, a former Democrat member of Congress in Florida has been found guilty of 18 counts of fraud and tax evasion in a Federal court in Jacksonville, Florida. Brown took thousands of dollars out of her charity, One Door For Education Foundation Inc., for her own personal use. She was found to have spent the money on trips, shopping excursions and parties. Brown served in congress from 1993 until she lost her primary election in 2016. Others involved with the charity or on Brown’s congressional staff have also either entered guilty pleas or been found guilty in court.
