Tells Congress Iran is Compliant with Nuclear Deal

Apr 20, 2017

Donald Trump is backing down on yet another campaign promise, to “end the disastrous Iran Deal.” However, in a letter to Congress, he has now been forced by the evidence to admit to Congress that Iran is in compliance, and that the U.S. has extended the sanctions relief given to the Islamic republic in exchange for curbs on its atomic program. Certification of Iran’s compliance must be sent to Congress every 90 days.

Still, it seems that the Trump administration is setting up Iran for a future attack anyway, as Sec. of State Rex Tillerson repeated the questionable neoconservative claim that “Iran remains a leading state sponsor of terror through many platforms and methods.”
