The current positions of all three components of Donald Trump’s “armada” he is sending to confront North Korea’s threats, put them still weeks away from being on station. The Carl Vinson is still in the Indian Ocean SE of Indonesia. The Ronald Reagan is the closest one, but still in Japanese waters. And the Nimitze is still off the Oregon coast, and has to cross the entire Pacific to get to Korea. So, we probably shouldn’t expect to see any direct military confrontation until early May.
