President Assad Insists Syria did not Attack Civilians with Chemical Weapons

Apr 13, 2017

Syrian President Bashar Assad on Wednesday insisted in a televised interview that his government was not involved in any way with the deadly chemical weapons incident in northern Syria last week, and that the accusations by the US were completely fabricated. He told the French AFP that “Definitely, 100 percent for us, it's fabrication,.. Our impression is that the West, mainly the United States, is hand-in-glove with the terrorists. They fabricated the whole story [of Syrian blame] in order to have a pretext for the attack."

This version is increasingly gaining support from former intelligence experts as time goes on and the US fails to provide any evidence of Syria or Russian complicity---though the charged continue to be aired as fact.
